In the second 45 minutes, we tried to make it look better, but unfortunately we didn’t succeed and we ran out of steam by the end. Two 15-year-olds also played 45 minutes each in the match. Head coach Gusztáv Vajda’s assessment: “We started the match on an excellent pitch, in excellent weather, and with great motivation. We played with a good amount of determination, which left its mark on our team play, but our transition to attack—as it has all spring—worked well again. After our goal, Gödöllő pushed forward, which showed up in chances here and there, but we came out on top because we scored again before halftime. In the second half, we sealed this otherwise very difficult match with two more goals. But the excitement wasn’t over yet, because after our victory, only Újpest could have deprived us of the championship title; however, since they failed to win in Nyíregyháza, the TEAM became champions regardless of the final round! The final match still has something at stake—namely, maintaining our unbeaten record this spring—so alongside our immense joy, we still have a task to accomplish."

Head Coach Tamás Csrepka’s assessment: “I’m disappointed with this match. We started off well, looking confident and decisive, but then we conceded a goal out of nowhere. From that point on, we started making technical errors, with poor ball control and inaccurate passing. Then the opponent scored another goal, which pushed us even further into the abyss. To the team’s credit, we managed to bounce back before the final push and levelled the game. But the opponent also deserves praise, because they scored the winning goal at the end of a beautiful attack. Congratulations to them!"
