Vidi took the lead in the first half thanks to Murka’s goal, but the home team equalized early in the second half. Both sides failed to capitalize on their chances in the closing minutes, so the score remained 1–1.
In the 22nd round of the Merkantil Bank Liga NB II, our team traveled to Tiszakécske with five wins under their belt. Head coach Tamás Pető sent out the following starting lineup: Nagy G.- Köllő, Kocsis G., Spandler – Simut, Somogyi, Murka, Bedi, Zsótér – Haraszti, Varga. Duo Virágh and Németh were absent from today’s lineup due to injury.

We created the first chance in the 12th minute, when Varga headed wide after a cross from Zsótér on the left. In the 20th minute, at the end of a counterattack, Körmendi shot wide from the left. Pataki’s shot deflected off a defender, and then, in the 28th minute, we took the lead at the end of a nice attack! Zsótér crossed from left to right, Simut headed the ball back into the middle, and Murka fired it low past the goalkeeper from a tight angle into the net (0-1). In the 39th minute, Körmendi tried his luck from the left for the home side, with Nagy palming the ball away for a corner, and then in the 44th minute, Horváth shot over the bar from 22 meters. In stoppage time of the first half, we managed to clear the ball in front of our goal following a free kick from the left, so we went into halftime with a one-goal lead.

After the break, Sós headed over the bar for the team from east Hungary, following a cross from the right, and then Gergely Nagy blocked Pataki’s shot. In the 51st minute, the home team equalized: Varga headed the ball to Visinka, who shot into the left side of the net (1-1). In the 52nd minute, Zsótér shot over the bar, and shortly after, the home goalkeeper made a great save from a shot by Krisztián Kovács. In the 62nd minute, Haraszti’s free kick went just wide of the right post, and then in the 68th, he broke through and lobbed the ball into the net. The referee signaled offside, incorrectly based on the replays. Immediately afterward, Körmendi broke through, but Nagy, rushing out, made the save. In the 70th minute, Ramos missed the target from a turn, and in the 88th, Nagy saved Pataki’s shot. In the 90th minute, Zimonyi broke through on a clear chance, but Esery managed to block his shot from the right with his foot. In response, a big chance developed in front of our goal as well; after a cross from the left, Pataki shot from close range, but Nagy made a smart save.
The match, rich in opportunities, ended in a 1-1 draw in Tiszakécske. Next Sunday, we host Kozármisleny at the Sóstói Stadium.
