Bedi responded to Budafok’s opening goal with a spectacular strike, but in the second half, the visitors turned the match around in their favour.
In the final round of the 2025/2026 Merkantil Bank Liga NB II season, our team hosted Budafoki MTE in front of 1,564 fans at Sóstói Stadium. Head coach Tamás Pető sent out the following starting lineup: Kemenes – Hesz, Kocsis G., Virágh – Kovács K., Somogyi, Bedi, Murka, Zsótér – Berekméri-Szigeti, Rideg.

We created our first chance in the 4th minute: after a cross from the right by Berekméri-Szigeti, Zsótér’s shot from the far post deflected off a home defender’s leg and went wide. Following another cross after the corner kick, the Budafok players cleared the ball for another corner. In the 10th minute, Kun crossed from the left, and Márió Németh fired into the bottom right corner (0-1). We managed to respond to the goal within a minute; Bedi cut inside from the left and then scored a spectacular goal into the top left corner—goalkeeper Ecseri could only get a hand to the ball (1-1).
Just under half an hour into the game, we were forced to make a substitution: Krisztián Kovács had to leave the field and was replaced by Geiger. In the 39th minute of the first half, Kun crossed from the left again, but Dávid Kovács, who was in position, was unable to direct the ball toward the goal. The first half ended in a 1-1 tie. In the 79th minute, the referee awarded a penalty to the visiting team, which Vasvári converted into the bottom left corner (1–3). The match ended in the 93rd minute with a header by Hesz that went wide.
During the break, Köllő came on for Berekméri-Szigeti. In the 54th minute, the goalkeeper tipped Somogyi’s header over the bar, and in the 58th, Murka found himself in a shooting position, but the visitors eventually cleared the danger. In the 59th minute, a double substitution took place, with Bartusz and Simut coming on. In the 67th minute, Zsótér’s powerful shot sailed over the bar; a minute later, Vasvári struck the ball off the right post and into our net (1-2). Immediately after the goal, he broke through again in a great scoring opportunity, but lifted the ball over Kemenes.
This marked the end of the 2025/2026 season for our team, which we finished in 8th place. Thank you to our fans for their support all year long!
