Olivér Svékus strengthens Videoton

Videoton has strengthened its squad for the new season, which is set to begin in a few days, with the signing of young goalkeeper Olivér Svékus, who will spend the next year on loan from Újpest in Fehérvár!

Born on 6th September 2006, in Budapest, the goalkeeper came through the youth academy of Kőbányai Ifjúsági Sportegyesület (KISE) between 2012 and 2020, before being signed by Újpest's academy five years ago. Starting at U15, he played for all of the Budapest club age-group teams and made his debut in the NB III North-East group in the 2023/2024 season. Last season, he was a key player for Újpest's NB III second team, where he started 16 league games, made two appearances for the U19 team, and also featured as part of the squad in eight NB I league games and one MOL Hungarian Cup match for Újpest's first team.
