2-1 friendly defeat on Thursday afternoon

After a 4-1 victory against PAFC II and a 2-2 draw away against MTK Budapest, our team hosted III. Kerületi TVE in a closed-door training match at the Sóstó on Thursday. Twelve of our own home-grown players took part in the match.

In the 8th minute, Cseszneki's free kick flew over the bar, but immediately afterwards we came very close to scoring the opening goal twice: after Németh's cross from the right, the goalkeeper made a very good save from Patrik Kovács' shot, and then saved Varga's shot from the rebound. In the 18th minute, a rebound after a shot found its way to Wirth, who placed the ball into our goal (0-1). In the 25th minute, Simon saved Zsótér's shot from under the crossbar, and in the 30th minute, after Murka's pass, Varga had a good chance to shoot, but his shot was also saved by the visitors' goalkeeper. In the 32nd minute, after a pass from Pálvölgyi on the right, Wirth struck again, heading the ball into our goal (0-2). In the 39th minute, Varga's shot missed the bottom right corner, and in the 43rd minute, a great chance to score was missed when Murka's header from Németh's corner bounced off the crossbar.

We changed almost the entire line-up during the break, with nine new players coming onto the pitch. Vidi started the second half very actively, with Bertók and then Tamás Horváth's shots being saved by the goalkeeper, while Kecskés' attempt went just wide of the left post. In the 59th minute, we deservedly pulled one back when Simut scored from Horváth's cross from the left (1-2). In the 61st minute, Dékei's shot missed the goal, and in the 86th minute, the goalkeeper saved Tamás Horváth's shot from a sharp angle. The match ended with a shot by Gergő Kocsis, which the goalkeeper managed to save.

Our team will play its final pre-season match on Saturday against Veszprém, also behind closed doors.
