Stadium development
Videoton Football club decided to lay a completely new pitch over this summer. The previous one had suffered badly when the heavy rain poured down, making it hard to play good football on it. Fans had come to expect a regular muddy pitch in the winter months. Work began on the 1st June 2010 after the management of the club decided to dig up the old pitch, and lay new piping underneath, while also removing the running track that circled the pitch. The dimensions of the new pitch will remain the same, but two meters have been added by each touchline. The work is expected to last for approx 40 days.
